Originally based on a concept close to sending one's children out to work, Ten Tenths started with Nick Mason's own collection of sports and racing cars as the nucleus of the fleet.
It soon became apparent that far wider range of cars was required, and a database was introduced. Friends, like-minded enthusiasts, dealers and eventually race teams, importers and manufacturers signed up.

Within two years over 3,000 cars were registered, and this list has continued to grow over the last fifteen years. It also now encompasses most forms of transport, including yachts, bikes (three seater pedal bike or penny farthing- no problem, Sir), - planes (we have access to a private WWI Airfield), and helicopters.
The Ten Tenths team comprises three engineers, all with race experience from Formula One to Vintage Austins, and two film specialists, who apart from being mechanically minded, hold race and race instructor licences, HGV licences and most important of all, calm and cheerful dispositions.
Mike Hallowes who oversees the company has had experience as motor dealer, race team manager, service manager and location link man. He still retains enormous enthusiasm for vintage racing and rallying as well as location catering.
Hire is on a professional basis only to the film & television industry, theatre, exhibitions and photography.
