 Although design influences more and more aspects of our everyday culture, there are still very few exhibitions which convey this fact in an exciting yet sophisticated manner.
Berlin offers the best possible conditions for exactly this kind of event: it is very attractive to international guests and participants, with its highly motivated local design scene providing an ideal cultural hotbed for a multi-faceted, experimental, unconventional DESIGNMAI 2004.
Shops, galleries, bars and cafes will open installations and exhibitions across Berlin, 6 - 16 May 2004.
No matter if it is workshops, conferences, open offices, cocktail hours in showrooms or panel discussions, organised by all sorts of design agencies, institutions and companies - during the first two weeks of May new concepts will be realised with great enthusiasm.
More experimental than the serious design shows of Cologne and Frankfurt, a large number of international designers have announced their participation, embassies are involved as are European design institutions. In this respect DESIGNMAI already is a great success.
