COLLECT has already become one of the key events on the international cultural calendar, attracting over 10,000 visitors each year and generating approximately £1 million for the sector at the close of each show.
Each year COLLECT strives to showcase the world's most prestigious galleries and artists. The 42 galleries exhibiting at COLLECT 2006 are representing artists from America, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Portugal, Sweden and Switzerland, as well as from every corner of Britain.
As part of COLLECT 2006 the Crafts Council will be launching London COLLECTion - a lively programme of special lectures, events and exhibitions taking place across the capital that will give visitors to London the opportunity to learn more about the applied arts and collecting.
The third COLLECT will take place at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London from 9 - 13 February 2006.
