Spinifex seeks to promote a greater awareness of green issues within a product's design. Materials used include recycled yoghurt pots, oriented strand board and brown paper. Trying to free itself from the stigma attached to eco-friendly goods, Spinifex invents new ideas to solve modern living.

The OTO unit includes a picture frame and is intended for a personal space (e.g. a bedroom or office desk). The plastic used is 100% recycled production waste (regrind). The chalkboard paint is a low V.O.C. alternative to traditional blackboard paint and comes in a variety of colours. The board face is Low formaldehyde MDF that has been coated and sealed.
