Sir Terence Conran and bed linen brand leader, Dorma Group Ltd have joined forces to create an affordable lifestyle collection for the bedroom and bathroom.
Bed by Conran will be available exclusively from John Lewis from January 2005, through The Conran Shops and globally thereafter.

Bed by Conran has been personally designed by Sir Terence Conran and the team – the man credited with introducing the 'continental duvet' to the UK. The range is contemporary and produced on 100% cotton percale, each product has been designed with close attention to detail and high quality design standards. Inspiration for the ranges has come from the 1930's art deco and sculptured fabrics, artists scrap books as well as vintage collections.

Botanical - Dove grey and white co-ordinated with a delicate printed giant skeleton leaf design. Deco - A vibrant design with a barcode of panelled fabrics and ribbon detailing. Sketch - just as the name suggests, a printed design with sketched circles on a pale blue and white colour way. Buttons - A biscuit coloured design featuring a collection of a line of applied buttons. Measure - A witty grey and white design, which features a woven tape measure on both the quilt cover and pillowcases. This collection has its own co-ordinated sheets illustrating calibrations on fitted sheets and secondary pillowcases.
Sketch - just as the name suggests, a printed design with sketched circles on a pale blue and white colour way. Spotty – An engaging printed design using painted multicoloured spots which appear to be falling off the bed. The collection has its own co-ordinated sheets featuring multicoloured spots on fitted, flat and secondary pillowcases. Texture - a crisp, textured, plain white design with a blend of narrow and extra wide seersucker weaves. Thread - delicate lines of printed and embroidered pinks and greens wind their way down the full length of the bed to create this pretty design.
 All designs are available in single, double, kingsize and superking duvet covers, cuffed pillowcases, plus a 66cm square and boudoir cushion cover.
From Spring 2005, Bed by Conran will also be available for the bathroom with accompanying toiletries and matt white and eau de nil bathroom ceramics. Luxuriously thick white, charcoal and beige 800g towels (the highest gram-count in the UK) in plain and two tone designs, robes and bath mats complete the look.
